Some think the term DNR is too negative
A new term is suggested: “AND, for Allow Natural Death”.

I don’t care what they call it, as long as the ER crew can tell a LIVESTRONG bracelet from the yellow DNR ones.
When we receive a patient from a nursing home in my state, 50% of the time the nursing home either doesn’t know DNR status or gets it wrong. Often the patient is DNR in hospital records (or I call family) but the nursing home writes “full code” on the transfer note. That’s no better than rolling dice.
