A study has come out suggesting that the flu shot doesn’t help save seniors’ lives.
I’m not sure how much stock I’d put into this study. It isn’t even a head to head study (i.e. comparing the outcomes of seniors who did or did not receive the vaccine). Given the risk of the flu (annual risk of dying from the flu is 1 in 1,000) and the safety of the vaccine, I’d still recommend getting vaccinated.
