  1. States Failing on Public Health Front. Most states scored 50% or lower on a report card assessing their ability to respond to infectious disease threats.
  2. Some ADHD Meds May Cause Priapism. Male patients taking drugs containing methylphenidate, such as Ritalin and others frequently prescribed for attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, face a small but serious risk of painfully prolonged erection.
  3. Two More Studies Slam Multivitamins. A daily multivitamin failed to improve cognitive function in older men and did not reduce cardiovascular events in patients after a recent myocardial infarction (MI).
  4. Exercise Offers Limited Benefit in Prostate Ca. Structured exercise programs conferred multiple health benefits — but no measurable effects on cardiometabolic risk factors or bone density — in prostate cancer patients treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).
