1. Hypertensive Kids Don’t Get Needed Tests. Adolescents with hypertension in a Medicaid population did not routinely undergo recommended imaging tests to rule out renal disease and assess possible organ damage.
2. YouTube Videos May Help Some Vertigo Patients. Two-thirds of videos posted to the YouTube website accurately depicted the Epley maneuver (EM) for benign positional vertigo, suggesting that such video sharing might help increase use of the procedure.
3. Early-Stage Prostate Cancer Rates Falling. The 2008 recommendation against prostate cancer screening for men 75 and older led to a prompt decrease in the incidence of early-stage disease in this age group.
