1. Antioxidants Appear No Help for Alzheimer’s. Antioxidant supplements don’t appear to have an impact on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers related to Alzheimer’s disease.

2. Early Exposure to Smoking May Predict COPD. Exposure to tobacco smoke may predispose girls to developing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) as adults.

3. Statins May Cut Pneumonia Risk. Statins may modestly reduce pneumonia risk for healthy adults, a subanalysis of the JUPITER trial suggested.
