1. High Cost to Getting Rid of ACA Mandate. Premiums in the health insurance exchanges would not rise sharply if the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate requirement is overturned or repealed, but government spending could more than double and fewer people would be covered.

2. Military Deaths Spike After End of Vaccine Program. After a vaccination program was phased out, deaths from adenovirus among military personnel — mostly recruits — resurged.

3. Simple Tests May Flag Dementia, Stroke Risk. Walking speed and hand-grip strength during middle age correlated with cognitive function and stroke risk in older adults, suggesting simple tests might aid diagnosis of the two conditions.
