It hasn&#039;t.  We&#039;ve come a long way over the past decade in recognizing the biases introduced by the drug industry&#039;s financial stakes in clinical trials. For example:  When bio-identical progesterone  &amp; estrogen is replaced by synthetic progestigin &amp; estrogen some might conclude that hormones are not the cause of the cancer at all, but rather the combination of &quot;synthetic&quot; pharmaceuticals.   With women scared away from hormones entirely due to the brouhaha, what effect does it have on heart disease in women.
