I cannot believe that our government is trying to make reforms to a system that nearly everyone agrees is out of control cost wise but we are going to do it without an overall analysys and prioritization of the problems. There is no way that a business entity would attempt to "fix" itself without knowing where the problems are that need fixing! I really believe that the motivation for this is to eventually put all medical care under government control and provide free or low cost care to all of the illegals in the USA>\.

Health care reform has developed a life of its own. Following former President Clinton’s speculation that his 1994 loss of a Congressional majority was the result of a failure to enact ANY health care reform, current leadership is admitting a desire to pass BAD legislation rather than none at all.

Congressman John Conyers, the second-most senior member of the House, paraphrased White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanual as saying, “Give us anything and we will declare victory.” Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill has referred to passage of health care reform as “one really, really big, really, really hard thing that makes everybody mad.”

These observations from leadership acknowledge an open season on vote buying – no matter a) the cost, b) changes in the bill, and c) the legislation’s impact.
