$1 for every new Twitter and Facebook follower, raising the Thanksgiving Drive stakes

November 9, 2009

Thank you all for participating in the Thanksgiving Drive.

As of today, there have been 400 new Twitter followers, and 130 new Facebook fans since November 1st.

I’m now raising the stakes.

The contribution will now be doubled, meaning $1 for every new Twitter and Facebook follower will be donated to the United Way of Greater Nashua. Including a generous contribution from Joan Kelly, $730 has been raised thus far.

Click the buttons above to follow KevinMD.com. Then spread the word by re-tweeting this post or posting on Facebook, and leave a comment here saying you did so. An iPod Touch (courtesy of Epocrates), or sets of designer scrubs (courtesy of Scrubsgallery.com and blue sky scrubs) will be raffled off to random commenters.

Contact me if you’re interested in making a full or partial matching contribution to the United Way of Greater Nashua.

The Drive will end this Thursday at midnight, Eastern time.

On another note, October 2009 continues record-breaking traffic on the blog, with page views more than doubling last October’s numbers, and up over 15 percent from September 2009, which itself was a record at the time.
