So it can be guessed that complications are less unless the procedure is done very carelessly.In countries like India where the doctor to patient ratio is quite low it has been prudent on the part of the government to allow only O&G specialists to conduct MTPs (Medical Termination of Pregnancy). But then it increases the quackery which leads to illegal and harmful abortions.So if the health care providers, be they the O&G specialists, midwives or family medicine specialists or even general practitioners; are adequately experienced then it will be beneficial on part of everyone.
