May 4, 2009

Abraham Verghese will be answering your questions at my next live Q&A.

Dr. Verghese, a Professor for the Theory and Practice of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, is one of the most accomplished and admired physician educators today. His pieces have appeared in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and one of his recent articles, entitled Culture Shock, is simply a must-read in The New England Journal of Medicine.

The Washington Post has called his recent work, Cutting for Stone, a “masterful first novel.”

It’s an honor to have Dr. Verghese answer your questions, which can include topics such as bedside medicine and medical care in the technological era, medical education, or being a physician-author, among others.

Just click the window below on Monday, May 4th at 10:30pm Eastern. I’ll open the forum 60 minutes prior to the start time so you can begin posting your questions.

If you cannot attend the Q&A, feel free to leave questions for Dr. Verghese in the comments section of this post.
