Operated for a brain tumor, found a tapeworm instead

The rather graphic story of a mother in Arizona with a pork tapeworm found in her brain.

Taenia solium is a common brain parasite, and is spread by eating uncooked pork or food contaminated by human feces.

Moral of the story: wash your hands, cook your pork.
