An Indian urologist on a diuretic tries to use the restroom in-flight. He couldn’t because the pilot was using it, and subsequently was arrested and jailed overnight.
He had to pay a $2500 fine and plead guilty for a quick resolution.
To rub salt in the wounds, he has yet to receive an apology from Southwest.
Did race play a role?

Airlines have become very rigid in demanding that passengers follow their rules, some of which are security-based.
For all their friendly hype Southwest is very conservative. The fellow probably should have just peed in a cup.
What the heck did they charge him with?!
This illustrates the idea to not take legal advice from federal thug interrogators.
I would appreciate the name of the interrogator who suggested the guilty plea, to avoid further hassles. Unless a licensed lawyer he was guilty of the unauthorized practice of law. He should be reported to the state bar and to his superiors.
In this case, I would support a review of any legal recourse by the doctor with a licensed attorney.
