And I can see how it can happen. And I am VERY aware of 1) the literature on how there is increased risk of adverse outcomes associated with jul/aug admissions and 2) junior doctor mistakes.<br/><br/>But aren't we just a wee bit hard on these "kids", fresh out of school and being handed an enormous amount of responsibility. Seems to me, that us grown-up docs need to simply be a LOT more cognizant during these months and TEACH, TEACH, TEACH. Set the example, SHOW them how it's done, educate by example and mentoring and modeling - have an intern watch YOU do an H&P or admission or whatever. They learn SOOOOOO much more from that.
