I don’t understand the anxiety.
What prevents a doctor from putting in 10 ratings of excellence or having his friends do it, or asking friendly patients to do it? These sites are a tremendous opportunity for gaming the system with bogus high ratings. Shouldn’t they demand proof that the rater is a patient? On Ebay, the purchaser is known.
As a doctor, I might also sue the website, not for the poor rating or defamation, but for failing to verify the rater is a patient. A defamation claim would be easier in Great Britain.
