There is no place in Hippocratic ethics for killing people.

It doesn’t take a doctor to kill people. I am for capital punishment, but if the society is too squemish and weak to just do it forthrightly without fobbing it off on the healing profession, then they shouldn’t do it at all.

Why not use a veterinarian; they have more experience in putting animals down…
