That’s another glaring example of how medical students know less than nothing.
I’m sure those fake MD OBGYNs have forgotten more than he’ll ever learn about the field.
So do those fake psychiatrists. Typical student behavior for at least the last 2300 years. Callow, arrogant, hyperjudgmental.
Yo, Half: Psychiatrists can manage hypertension and diabetes. That pays too little, wastes their time, when less trained people, such as nurse practitioners, do an excellent job of that basic medical treatment.
Let’s see you manage a schizophrenic who beat up the police, running about naked, in a foot of snow.
This is not well known. Psychiatry is just about the highest paid medical specialty, when done properly. I include a comparison to such lucrative fields as a plastic surgery practice in Hollywood. That is an endorsement of its value as a medical specialty, by the public.
Breathtakingly narrow minded and ignorant. You have to read this screed to believe it! Chancs are good thoughthat he’ll probably gow up into full adluthood and realize the silliness of his younger self. We’ve all said and done a LOT of stupid things in our lives, and wish we could take back even a fraction of them. Live and learn Half MD. Liva and lern.
This Half MD looks about right for what we can expect for our next generation of physicians. They’ll work half as hard (56 hour work week residency limitations looming) and know half as much, yet still feel that they know everything.
The sad thing is that they won’t realize how much they don’t know.
It’s not the stupid-assed opinions that bother me. I am thankful that there were no blogs so mine were confined to my immediate peers. It is that fact that as a medical student, he actually has the time and energy to blog this stuff. Real knowledge will cure arrogance–but how is he going to get that if he isn’t on the wards?
