After all this talk about Jay Parkinson, I really thought he would do a better job expressing himself. It was a pretty uninformative interview, all-in-all.
Echo the above sentiments. Jay Parkinson’s name is much bandied about on this site. I decided to finally check out oaa the excitement.
This has to have been one of the silliest, most vacuous interviews I’ve ever seen. He answered no questions substantively, and his side kick was no help at all. If these are the kinds of slackers I have to subsidize through my own premiums when they fall and break a leg, then screw ‘em.
Yeah I wasn’t too happy with how well I performed either. I wasn’t given the questions ahead of time and the very complicated issues can’t really be fleshed out in a 3 minute interview with an interviewer who didn’t really want to devote the time to explore the issues. Bad superficial responses for superficial questions.
But I definitely urge everyone to do TV appearances to experience how difficult it is without being a professional TV personality.
If you want a feel for the “real” Jay- check out his blog- where he actually gets a chance to put thought into his comments.
