Proparacaine drops (or Tetracaine), a drop or two of ocular lubricant, a gloved hand and gentle retropulsion of the globe by placing a finger and thumb just off the cornea (on the white part of the eye)at the 3:00 and 9:00 o’clock position while drawing the upper and lower eyelids together with the other hand. It takes about three seconds.
