Disgusting. However, I blame our pathetic medical socitey as much as the government.

Two reasons:

1. Lawyers are politically savvy, organized, and run the government.

2. Competent legal representation has been construed as a constitutional right. Medical care, competent or otherwise, is not.

It’s not the fault of lawyers that doctors don’t value their own time.

How true. Lawyers understand how to maintain the value of their labor in the marketplace while doctors undermine theirs.
