Take a look what they're having to do in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. The "solution" to long ER wait times is to increase homecare supports. The rational is that ER beds are being held for too long by people that should be in long term care or at home with home care supports. It's the ultimate backlog of patients. Won't be sorted out anytime soon.
www.waittimes.blogspot.com
