Stewart University

Is this a joke? Graham does some investigative work on this “new medical school”.

Here is some more YouTube evidence. Let the sketchiness ensue.

A little older than “new:” it’s been around at least for a couple of years. That’s at least how long I’ve heard people making fun of it. And unsurprisingly, it hasn’t yet managed to get those clinical rotations set up in that time. They also don’t claim to have applied for accreditation, only state that it’s possible to be open during the process.

As someone at Graham’s post pointed out, it’s disgusting that they’re targeting veterans for a scam. Or would be, if the founder didn’t seem so painfully earnest and clueless.

Thanks for posting this. I hope it pushes the “scam” results up higher in Google for those who can’t tell it’s too good to be true.

I love this response under the FAQ section:

Q: Where are the clinical rotations being done?

A: Clinical rotations are the least concern of a new applicant to medical school. A new medical student, just beginning their medical school basic science instruction, has 16 months in the accelerated New Scotland International School of Medicine M.D. program, before they are eligible to take the USMLE step 1 exam.

There’s no way this place is for real…
