You have plenty of warning before then. You're sick for awhile, and really, really sick by them. Kussmaul respirations are creepy to watch. It's in the news because kids don't die of DKA regularly. We saw signs that to us, it looked like she was recovering."</i><br/><br/>Opinions? I've heard at least one pediatric doctor argue quite vociferously about how tragically easy it is to mistake signs of diabetes/and or delay treatment for signs of it ( leading to the death of a boy from ketoacidosis). The mother says:
