That article has to be the most poorly written article I’ve ever seen – just a series of one sentence paragraphs that don’t really flow.

However, if Kevin wants to lament that doctors are props, the question becomes then why are they so willing to be the props? They step up to allow the insurers to frame it as doctors v. lawyers, when it is really a four party debate – patients, doctors, attorneys, and insurers. But physicians willingly allow, and even encourage, themselves as the central party in this. You can’t cry now.

The fact is, the debate is getting ready to heat up again, as insurance profits fall. By 2009, we’ll be hearing about the “crisis” all over again. This article is the precursor:
