People were using that one back when I started in EMS, in the good old days when gas was $1.65 a gallon.<br/><br/>People think that primary care is failing due to declining reimbursement...ambulance reimbursement from CMS for the typical transport runs about 60-70% of the actual <i>cost</i> of doing that transport.<br/><br/>And those figures were before $4/gallon diesel prices. Not a new excuse at all. People were using that one back when I started in EMS, in the good old days when gas was $1.65 a gallon.
