First job

The majority of physicians leave their first job after residency after 2-3 years. Why is that?

I’m still in my first job post-residency. I guess I’m one of the lucky few.

How many of docs have DOD or some other government scholarship? They moved us every few years after residency which might skew the numbers a bit.

She is commenting on what is found with ER docs. Job hunting in EM is much more mobile and easy. I don’t think the same findings would translate into other specialties.

That doesn’t seem so strange. I remember hearing when I was in medical school that the average number of jobs a doctor had before settling on the job that comprised the bulk of his career was four.
