You’re right – letting docs judge themselves via health courts though, that’s a GENIUS idea.

I’ve testified for plaintiffs twice. Actually, I’ve never testified for the defense.

They’re not really interested in me generally, as I tend to be interested in the truth. That last thing the trial bar wants is an honest witness.

I’ve never invested my life savings in penny stocks either. But I don’t need a law degree to know when something is obviously a really stupid idea. Like “expert” witnesses.

The American Trial Lawyers Association puts out a monthly journal to its membership.

In the back of that journal there are about 20 pages of ads.

Guess what the vast majority of those ads are? DOCTORS PROSTITUTING THEMSELVES AS "EXPERTS" FOR THE LAWYERS!

Dont believe me? Take a look for yourself, you will be shocked how many greedy doctors sell their souls to the trial lawyers to become "experts."

Its really not that surprising, considering that legal testimony pays up to ten times higher per hour of work than clinical medicine does.

This appears to be a pretty neat program for some of our brethren who find themselves at the butt-end of a scumbag turncoat physician. They go after the unethical “expert” witness for the plaintiff, reporting him to their medical board and professional organizations. Many of these have rules/laws regarding what can be offered as a part of expert testimony. The end result (from testimony at the site) is that many of these traitors, once receiving notice that their testimony will have official ramifications, run away (like the weasels that they are).

Anyway, I hope it helps someone out there that is “fighting the good fight.”
