USD 74K for 15 weeks (total cycle), so annualized at $230K (3 and change cycles per year, in Afghanistan, where a resurgent Taliban can dial you in with a mortar tube). Some deal. The only kicker is the tax-free part which, I believe, has a total annual ceiling and which requires you be out of the country a minimum number of weeks in the year to qualify for the tax waiver.

Of course, US military medical officers will do that duty for less money and no 5-week break either.

But their is that looooong paid break at the end called retirement.
