Socialized medicine split

February 15, 2008

To no one’s surprise, the support for “socialized medicine” is split right down party lines.

Nationwide, the numbers slightly favor support: “45 percent of respondents said they believed such a system would be better for the country, while 39 percent said it would be worse.”

This is hardly a significant majority, and does not warrant blowing up our current system to satisfy the 45 percent of people who believe in single-payer/Medicare for all radical reform.

That leaves 16% who expressed no strong opinion. If the leaners were pushed — what level of support would warrant it in your mind Kevin?

Americans don’t value freedom enough to be worthy of it any longer. While our ancestors thought it more important than life, we sell out cheap.
