Stock brokers are not investment bankers. They are more on a par with insurance salesmen or real estate agents (or, for that matter, Avon ladies) … and most make about the same money.

“Should I become a doctor or a lawyer?” is a legitimate question for a smart youngster; “Doctor or stock broker?” is not.
