Losing the will to treat patients

Even when a lawsuit outcome is favorable to the physician, the emotional turmoil is enough to drive some out of clinical medicine:

The whole process just wiped out this doctor’s will to treat patients again. She was so upset just thinking that she had tried so hard to save this poor girl – and was successful, only to be rewarded with an angry letter signed by “Money Grubbing Loser, Esq”!
