We were on our own for much of it and we were strugling. People can't think clearly when even modestly depressed, much less severely so.<br/><br/>Having trained in the "good old days" of 120-140 hour work weeks and seeing what it does to people, I am all for work hour restrictions as second best to training programs recognize that their housestaff are only made of flesh and blood--which many would not do.
