Apparently Rapid Slim SX couldn’t find any attending physicians to endorse their product. So they turned to an anesthesiology resident.

Yikes. Why would you sell yourself like that for a few bucks?
This was so funny! Great post. I was laughing all morning. I’m waiting for the next wave of direct-to-consumer pharma ads featuring pre-med students.
Jon Marshall, DO began, i believe, endorsing hydroxicut while he was still a med student. Now he is a radiology resident.
How do they keep finding D.O. residents for those plugs? It’s embarrassing. I am a D.O. BTW.
Get over it already. This is no worse than the old and established “wellness” and “anti-aging” medicine doctors selling compounded bio-identical hormones as if they are better. Many don’t accept insurance and essentially function as psychologists for depressed middle-aged women with disposable cash.
Robert Jarvik endorses Lipitor—and he never even went to residency! Hell, his artificial heart was a medical and commercial disaster. I’m waiting for my chance to make commercials. At least I’m more photogenic.
This is horrible! Why haven’t any drug companies asked me to do their pitch? Oh that’s right…cuz I’d say NO!
Lay off Dr. Swanson or I will will be forced to call up one bad-ass plague upon humanity. Do you have any idea what it costs, in terms of eternal souls, to promote some of this crap these days? I didn’t think so.
Faithfully yours,
