This is a huge, under-reported problem. The reports I receive from outpatient Radiology almost never clarify. The reports usually read,”could be this, could be that, suggest CT, MRI”, etc. Moreover, patients are entitled to these reports and expect the suggested tests. I used to blame the lawyers, but now I think greed plays into it too.
