I thought the ER was cool when I was a medical student because you saw a bunch of different things and everyone was running around because of urgent problems.

Now I think the ER is terrifying for the same reasons.

This is a GREAT article, Kevin. Thanks for highlighting it. I’m out of breath just reading it… and yet it rings so true. How can EM physicians resist burn out??
