I actually hope the medicare cuts DO go into effect. Only when the elderly in this country are treated like the poor, when medicare becomes medicaid & everyone goes to some understaffed hospital-based clinic with undertrained housestaff, will there be fundamental change rather than patchwork fixes by a subspecialist procedure-happy group (the RVU committee).
