Any blogs or advice for a retainer cardiology practice? Thanks for the excellent site!
Anon, the best source of information for you will be at SIMPD.org. If you email anyone at the site, they will be happy to help you.
There are a number of interesting practice styles that could fit a cardiologist. Straight retainer could easily work if you have the right population of people w/ complex conditions. You may also think about being “the” cardiologist for several other cash doctors. Several retainer docs could support you on a fee-for-service basis.
Thanks for being willing to change practice styles. The more PCPs that make the change, the more specialists we’ll be able to support
Wow — evidence that health costs are rising at nearly twice the inflation rate is shown as a sign of great spending restraint.
