		<description>the 80 hour work week rule is a farce. i just finished a residency where we were encouraged to &#039;shave&#039; off hours.  to suggest otherwise wuold be a lie.  my experience was not unique.  i have many collegues at other institutions that have similar experiences. the suggestion that surgery residency is &#039;easy&#039; is not accurate.  a 30 hour shift is never easy.</description>
