How conveyor-belt medicine will bite every physician eventually:
Five minute doctor visits from doctors (or increasingly more likely nurse practitioners or physician assistants) you’ve never seen before and likely will never see again is an open invitation for lawsuits. Every doctor is human and will make a mistake. I know I will. It’s essentially impossible to be thorough in five minutes.

An interesting issue when it comes to provider demands for requiring oversight of NPs and PAs. The genie of having NPs and PAs provide primary care services (amongst others) is out of the bottle. Providers may wish to retain some segment of their cut of the take by demanding provider oversight… but have they considered the liability of assuming a supervisory position?
