People seem to be shocked that insurance premiums for Massachusetts’ individual mandate are prohibitively expensive.
Folks, health insurance is expensive because health care is expensive. Deal with it. Nothing is free, and I think it’s a positive thing that the public is slowly being acclimated to not taking health-care for granted.

The article is about efforts to make prescription drug coverage more affordable, in light of the fact that brand name drugs are so expensive. In fact, the article does a good job of showing how prescribing brand name drugs drives up health care costs, vs. prescribing generics.
The was no mention of people being shocked that health care costs money. In fact, the article was about the board in Mass. that is deliberating on how to regulate drug coverage in health plans.
