That varies by state and by specialty.

Do any USA specialty boards still regognize their Royal College equivalent anymore? It seemed like a number did in the past, but not sure about the current status.

In order to practice in the US you have to have done a residency in the US. Therefore, those Canadians must be US trained if they are going to work in the states. We are willing to take those whom we have trained...

If I incorrect in my assumption please let know

There are many problems with socialized/universal medical care, this is true. However, Ms. Stronach went for a specific procedure that occurred in California. Wouldn't any health care worker send their patient to a specialist of a surgery if they could? Other countries send to Canada as well, because of the different specialties available.

Canada does have high quality trained physicians, nurses, and other health care workers. They seem to be preferentially recruited away from Canada by the U.S. all the time. If these people are providing 'mediocre' care, and yet they are considered very well trained by recruiters, it would beg the question: "what is the quality of U.S. trained health care professionals?"

You mean "Mediocre care for all the COMMONERS" don't you?

Socialist and communist elites have always availed themselves of capitalist medicine. Even El Leder, Castro had to fly in a SPaniard to do his surgery.

anon 2:20,

of course care for all equals mediocre care. The claim is so obviously true it doesn't even require any evidence to supported it
