Nobody who’s ever lived in a communist country was fooled by Moore’s “this is how all Cubans are treated” line. State-of-the-art equipment? Sure – for party officials and visiting Americans making a movie about Cuban health care. For the rest of the population – re-use of hypodermic needles, shortage of basic drugs, outdated equipment, 10 people in the same hospital room with additional few people in the hallway.

What is surprising is how anybody (including Moore) could’ve bought it. But then I’ve been always amazed ever since the time of Soviet Union, how many Americans were buying the communist propaganda. Another subject, though.
