Stossel is set to present an eye-opening piece on health care next Friday on 20/20. He sits down with Michael Moore to discuss some Sicko claims:
Moore says in the film, “I asked [the Havana hospital] to give us the same exact care they give their fellow Cuban citizens. No more, no less. And that’s what they did.”Moore sat down with “20/20’s” John Stossel and talked about that claim. When asked whether it really was an average hospital, Moore said, “Yes.”

Two blowhards who let their opinions drive the facts, rather than the other way around.
Nothing “eye opening” ever appears on “20/20″. Isn’t that where Geraldo got his start? And Barbara Walters? Please.

Word. This was totally obvious from the beginning.
Nobody who’s ever lived in a communist country was fooled by Moore’s “this is how all Cubans are treated” line. State-of-the-art equipment? Sure – for party officials and visiting Americans making a movie about Cuban health care. For the rest of the population – re-use of hypodermic needles, shortage of basic drugs, outdated equipment, 10 people in the same hospital room with additional few people in the hallway.
What is surprising is how anybody (including Moore) could’ve bought it. But then I’ve been always amazed ever since the time of Soviet Union, how many Americans were buying the communist propaganda. Another subject, though.
