I hadn’t heard about this before. Here are a couple of articles from PubMed:

These are mentally ill young women reinforcing each others delusional body images.
This is the equivalent of heroin addict glamourous websites extolling the virtues of intravenous narcotic dependency, sharing techniques for cooking up a hit, comparison shopping of different brands of horse, and so forth.
Criminal prosecution and civil litigation may fall upon the perpetrators of these websites.

Criminal prosecution for what? There is not a lot of speach that is criminalized and the courts have not allowed much supression except where it furthers national security.
As for civil liability, as long as the sites do not claim medical authority for their statements, it’s caveat emptor for consumers. After all, free advice is worth only what you pay for it.
