Perhaps in certain specialties, but that's the case for the other professions as well. But when you consider that the average surgeon makes over $200K, clearly $180K isn't the ceiling. You can't make more being an honest docotr. Those other professions boast bigger salaries, but nowhere near the responsibility. And rarely are you in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario, like doctors are.<br/><br/>I'll say it agin: the MD's who work and live in places like NYC and SF, 180K is NOTHING!
