Meanwhile, there was an awful lot of “don’t worry about it” dismissiveness by the physicians, whom I presume were all NHS.

I especially liked the “don’t look it up on the Internet” part.

Having used the NHS while living in England I suspect that his GP was following their practice of not giving first class care to men over 40, since they are beyond their peak earning years and getting dangerously close to their expensive retirement years.

Better to let them die for the greater good.

i read the whole LONG ARTICLE.
synopsis= colon cancer.
location= not mentioned.
supposedly malignant.
appearanly “lymph nodes were negative”.
no real comment on treatment.
his ‘doctors’ told him not to worry about his 6 months of symptoms and rectal bleeding. sounds unusual. i would have been suspicious rigght away.. CJB
