I had a patient tell me she had chest pain that started 10 years ago.She said it was caused by having her hart broken by an old boyfriend. He had left her when she was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

That’s really sad, NYC EMS. I feel for people w/ serious mental illness. Most people DON’T want to deal with them–professionally or personally. I’m sure she did have a broken heart. Depression + schizophrenia + stress + whatever drugs she was on = chest pain and possible real cardiac issues.
