Michael Moore loses it on CNN

(click the image for the video)

“Filmmaker Michael Moore went off on CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer during an interview Monday to promote his latest documentary ‘Sicko’. Moore blasted the anchor and the network for not doing enough to stop the Iraq war and for doing a ‘crap’ report on his new film. Moore also mocked the pronunciation of chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta.”

A Sicko fact-check piece by Sanjay Gupta preceded the interview, which you can see here.

UNbelievable! What a clip!

Unfortunately, Moore was 100% correct on “Farenheit 911″. And he’s right when he says that CNN/NYTimes/CBS/etc etc owes the American people an apology (more so than Hiliary Clinton does).

So becasue of their lack of credibility, NOW they are ineffectual when it comes to disproving or at least debating Moore’s “universal healthcare” crusade. It gives him much more ammo. The press let us down in 2000 and 2004 with their made up attacks on Al Gore “he’s too fat, he invented the internet etc etc” and now they’re uselss.

I better start looking for another line of work. Maybe Michael Moore is looking for an assistant…

Moore is correct that we already have socialized health-care here in the US, referring to the underfunded Medicare system. And private companies use Medicare rates against us, using their monopoly power to set rates that are Medicare or less in many cases. He is dead wrong that a system of universal “free” healthcare is the answer. Individuals MUST bear a significant part of their healthcare costs to avoid rampant overutilization. My favorite part of the clip is at the end, when Lou Dobbs refers to Mr. Moore as a bigger left -wing promoter than Hugo Chavez!

Somebody really has a bug up his butt about Moore *coughKevencough*.

I since you provided a link to the Sanjay Gupta factless-check piece, perhaps you should link to the rebuttal by Moore, which in no uncertain terms accuses CNN of documentable libel:

CNN should be ashamed of itself for not focussing on the cases which Michael Moore presents in the movie. Lets stop comparing US with Cuba. Larry King is not the person who should be on the interview after giving priority to Paris Hilton. Shame on CNN and Sanjay Gupta.
