Yes, stopping medications can sometimes do the trick.

As a neurologist, I’d say that a significant fraction of the time I’m looking for some medicine to stop for a patient’s complaints rather than add anything new. Plan B might be to add one and stop two.

And try not to start a patient on something they won’t be able to stop taking, say Effexor, without trying other medications first.
Just a suggestion.
Oh, and if your patient is having panic attacks their thyroid might be whacked out and they might not really need that Effexor that never helped them but they can’t stop taking because their brain zaps the living crap out of them.
You know, I mean, just a thought. Uh, errr.
“Damn you, Effexor. Damn you all to hell!”
