as much of a great political soundbite it is to push for covering more helpless children, in NY a family making $80,000/yr is eligible for medicaid ie. taxpayer-funded flush health insurance.

medicaid in NY is easily the most expensive in the nation, and a big part of the reason for the out-of-control taxes in this state. and it is the last in the nation to eliminate coverage for stuff like viagra.

why not give every family making $80k/yr food stamps & housing allowances also?

some pediatricians & family practitioners might qualify themselves under this liberal standard!
